Weekly Update - 13th October 2021

Not a huge update this week everyone!

Opening Hours

As you all know we have updated opening hours:

Thursday:11-7PM

Friday & Saturday: 11-Late

Sunday:11-6PM

Social Gaming

We have our sign up sheet up on our website http://www.meepleperk.co.uk/social-gaming but due to a hen-do booking (for some wonderful long time customers), we will not be hosting Social Gaming this Friday but instead 22nd October. We are discussing the potential of moving Social Gaming to another day which may be better for the group to meet but not till after the 22nd/29th October to give plenty of planning time.

Organising Gaming

We've had some lovely customers ask about potentially meeting for casual and heavier gaming at the café as a regular meet up! These have mostly been discussed in the Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/485853401904236 If you're interested please check the group!

Business Update

We have decided to stop using Just-Eat as our delivery service, just due to a few issues we had and that the commission for delivery essentially meant we sold our products at cost (so not really viable for a small business). Maybe eventually we'll find a proper solution to getting our products delivered to you but this does mean going forward we are no longer offering delivery.

Technical Issues

THE DUMBWAITER IS FIXED. A WIZARD DID IT! (Quite literally, he doesn't know how he fixed it but it works! Huzzah!)

Weekly Updates - 15th September 2021

Hey everyone! It's that time again to let you know everything that's going on with your friendly neighbourhood board game cafe!

New Menu!

Rhi has worked really hard and completely revised the menu. Some of the specials are now permanent inclusions on the menu and we've changed a few things around. You can check out the new menu right here.

New Bread

With the new menu change, we have taken the opportunity not only to improve the menu but, to support more local business and we now get our bread from Pink Lane Bakery! Our sandwiches are now served with Sourdough bread that we get from there.

Social Gaming

Social Gaming is on again, no new news there, but we starting from next week will have the new sign up process hosted up on the website. I shall talk more about this next week!

Weekly Update - 5th September

Hey everyone! My god, this week has kind of gotten away from us, sorry that this is late, bet you've all been dying to know about everything happening at your friendly neighbourhood board game cafe!

New Games

We have new games in the cafe! Donated to us by a couple of our lovely community; we have classic Games Workshop Doctor Who adventure game and Hero Master! We also have a new delivery of games with the following games now in:

- Uno

- Pitchstorm

- Here to Slay

- 7 Wonders: Duel

- Everdell

- Catan 25th Anniversary Edition, which includes the base game & the 5-6 player expansion!

I am not 100% sure how many games this means we have in the collection, but I will do my best to get an up to date number for the next time I do the weekly update.

Week Off

Next week we are going to be taking a week off, from the 6th September. This is so Rhi and I can get some much needed R&R.

New Drink

We have a brand new drink that is an off-menu item that we are now offering, the Iced Mocha! We will be looking to introduce more seasonal drinks after our week off, so more on that in the next weekly updates!

Weekly Update is skipping a week

With us taking a week off, unfortunately, there will be no weekly update next week.
