Bank Holiday Monday!

There's a Bank Holiday on the horizon and we've opened our booking for it!

That's right you can spend your wonderful sunny Bank Holiday with us playing some absolutely smashing games!

Opening Times are 11AM to 6PM, last table booking is 4PM for games!

We will be closed Wednesday 31st to give the staff a little break from the long weekend.

This will also be the last chance for our lovely families to enjoy our Summer Holiday deal!

Special Thanks

A special thank you to everyone who came down while we were licensed and offered feedback on the drinks! We had a wonderful time serving you all and are making plans with how to go forward with licensing the cafe! This was always the long plan for Meeple Perk and sadly had to be put on the backburner for quite some time due to the global pandemic but we are very happy to be moving forward with this now.

Pricing Changes

A reminder that as of September 1st our pricing will change for gaming at the cafe. We will be making it a lot more flexible for people to book 1-3 hour sessions via our website and will have set pricing to reflect that. Any bookings made for September onwards will be under the new pricing structure:

• 1 Hour of Gaming = £2 (+ one food/drink purchase from the cafe)

• 2 Hours of Gaming = £3.50 (+ one food/drink purchase from the cafe)

• 3 Hours of Gaming = £5 (+ one food/drink purchase from the cafe)

Children 10 and under are Half Price, and Members receive Half Price Gaming!

This means our last booking slot on an evening will be 6:30PM, allowing for that to finish at 9:30PM when selecting a 3-hour session. After 6:30PM we can accept walk-ins up until we close (9PM/9:30PM depending on bookings).

We know currently you cannot select 3 hours for bookings in September, this will be made available for booking on Wednesday 31st August to reduce any confusion for people booking for the Bank Holiday.

Staff Holidays

We will be closed for a short period in October for our mini honeymoon! As many of you know Drew and I got married in April and have held off celebrating with a break away so we could enjoy the summer holidays with you all at the cafe!

We will be closed 2nd October - 11th October, reopening Wednesday 12th October!

Our New Drinks Menu!

We promised to share our exciting new drinks menu as soon as it was designed!

Look no further! We have a delicious selection of drinks for you to choose from, while stocks last!

Upcoming Changes to your local board games cafe...

We've got some exciting new changes to share with you all!

Firstly, we are really excited to announce that from August 10th - 14th we will have a Temporary Alcohol License! We are currently crafting a menu of cocktails, craft beers and bottled ciders for you to enjoy while you play games. As per our agreement with the local police, we can only offer our alcohol menu to those of you playing games/entering an event but we are hoping this dry run will seal the deal on whether or not we apply for a full alcohol license for the venue.

Next, effective immediately we are unfortunately unable to offer reduced event entry for our members anymore. With the rising costs, event entry is not stretching as far as it once did and sadly to run the events and not lose money means we cannot offer discounted rates anymore. Any events that have already advertised a membership rate will be honoured.

However, we are changing the benefits for Members so, although you lost one small thing, you've gained a shiny new discount on Board Game and RPG purchases in-store. This means members will now benefit from:

• Half Price Gaming, when visiting to play games in the cafe

• 10% off Food and Drink purchases made to sit in or take away

• 5% off Retail Board Games and RPG purchases made in-store

• Weekly Newsletter

All this for only £25 for 6 months! If you visit 15 times in 6 months and only buy a canned soft drink, you've already made your money back!

Changes coming in September!

From September 1st we are altering changing our Gaming Cover Charge, hopefully, to better benefit you. You will be able to book longer or shorter slots before visiting and do not need to contact us in advance, plus we've altered our pricing with this in mind.

So, from September prices will be:

• 1 Hour of Gaming = £2 (+ one food/drink purchase from the cafe)

• 2 Hours of Gaming = £3.50 (+ one food/drink purchase from the cafe)

• 3 Hours of Gaming = £5 (+ one food/drink purchase from the cafe)

Gaming slots will be capped at 3 hours, though if you want to book for longer please do get in touch! We can still take 4-hour bookings but not to complicate things with our booking system, online bookings are capped currently.
